It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the EUROMEMBRANE 2027 conference, which will take place in Gdańsk from September 5 to 9, 2027. This is a unique event, as it will be the first time that EUROMEMBRANE is hosted in Poland.

Held every three years, EUROMEMBRANE brings together scientists, engineers, industry experts, and early-career researchers from around the globe. It offers an excellent opportunity to share the latest research findings, discuss emerging technologies, and establish new collaborations.

Membrane technologies are advancing rapidly, offering real solutions to some of the key challenges of our time – ranging from water purification and CO₂ capture to biotechnology, food processing, energy storage, and the recovery of rare earth elements (REEs) and other critical metals. The EUROMEMBRANE 2027 scientific program will reflect this diversity, covering a broad spectrum of topics: from material synthesis and characterization, through pressure-driven and electrochemical processes, to modeling, membrane cleaning, and specific industrial applications. We also warmly welcome submissions addressing entirely new and emerging areas of research.

Close collaboration between academia and industry has always been one of the strengths of our community. We aim to create an environment in Gdańsk where specialists designing materials at the molecular level can meet directly with engineers responsible for scaling up these solutions and implementing them in practice.

We are particularly keen to see PhD students and early-career researchers participate. We know very well that conferences are about more than just presentations; they are, above all, places where new ideas are born and long-lasting professional connections are created. We warmly encourage you to participate actively!

For us as organizers, this edition holds special personal significance. Poland has a strong and active community of membrane researchers, yet this will be the first time EUROMEMBRANE is hosted in our country. We will meet at the AMBEREXPO Exhibition and Congress Centre – a modern facility perfectly suited to an event of this scale.

And what about Gdańsk itself? It is the ideal setting for such a conference. For over a millennium, this city, situated at the crossroads of trade routes and cultures, has brought people together. It is renowned for its openness, beautiful architecture, and unique atmosphere. We hope that, beyond the conference halls, you will find time for a relaxed conversation over a cup of coffee and a stroll along the Motława River – after all, some of the most interesting ideas often emerge during informal discussions on the sidelines.
